The Pain of Intolerance

I came across this today as I was researching intolerance of others and the health effects it can have on the body in our world of social media bashing, lashing, and defamation of those who hold a different opinion. Taken from material out of a grade 5-9 teaching guide on respecting others

* Don’t insult people or make fun of them. * Listen to others when they speak. * Value other people’s opinions. * Be considerate of people’s likes and dislikes. * Don’t mock or tease people. * Don’t talk about people behind their backs. * Be sensitive to other people’s feelings. * Don’t pressure someone to do something he or she doesn’t want to do.

We teach children to respect others and even scold when they don't, so what's happening in adulthood? Self-righteous, anger and even hatred for others because of whom they partner with to political parties, to the kind of food eaten. As I have mentioned before, every thought, every emotion provokes a hormonal reaction in the body. If you are one who has gotten caught up in the propaganda of intolerance, remember or realize that it IS affecting your body, health, longevity, happiness. Intolerance settles in the Solar Plexus. Whenever you feel intolerance creeping in, take a few deep breaths from the diaphragm, think yellow send it on up to your Throat chakra and choose to respond differently. Having intolerance for others does not change how they are and only causes you physical dis-ease and discomfort. Choose love, not necessarily for them lol, but for you.
